In the 8 March 2008 early morning, in front of a fervent and contemplative crowd, August Rodin ‘s master-piece « Calais’ Bourgeois » is removed from its pedestal. The immense crane carries it onto a transportation truck that will cary the statue to the Medici’s roman villa in order to restore it. Taking part to the italian journey of the « Bourgeois », Alain Fleischer invites us to an astonishing exploration of the aesthetic world of Rodin. He slips inside the realm of the sculptor, showing us his intimate passion for the body and for the intrisic beauty of these human beings whith whom he plays through infinite combinations.

Jacopo Baboni Schilingi writes a musical piece for orchestra, specially for electro-acoustic live playing string quartet. This musical piece has been writen for the 90th commemoration year of the armistice signature of World War I happening on the 11th of November 2008. The visual dimension of the movie is exclusively composed of records taken from the very beginning of the late 19th century and till the 1930’s. With no voice-over, comments or cardboards, the music accompagnies on its own the commemoration of the event.

Through the texts and drawings of Victor Hugo, take part to an autobiographical immersion into the creative intimacy of the exiled poet, still in struggle with history. As a travel diary, the drawings and works of Victor Hugo allows us to percieve, year after year, the tumultuous parts of his life. From 1851 to 1870, he had to exil himself from France after the coup led by Napoleon Bonaparte. His public speeches and positions against « Little Napoleon » or against the death penalty has to be related with more personnal, intimate and existancial meditations inwhich the autor was engaged : « Our life is made of death, this  about how the lteeriyng law is. We are sepulchers. »
