Jacopo Baboni Schilingi composes music for soloists, ensembles, orchestras, for installations and movies, taking part in the most important international festivals.
Deeply involved in interdisciplinary projects, he works with video-artists, sculptors, filmmakers, architects and poets.
His works have been performed by orchestras and ensembles such as Orchestre d’Île-de-France, Cottbus Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Arditti Quartet, Ensemble Court-Circuit, Klangforum Wien, Collegium Novum Ensemble, Ensemble Dell'Orchestra Sinfonica « Arturo Toscanini », Dedalo Ensemble, Les Pléiades, Quatuor Léonis, and Ensemble Constraste, etc... He also collaborated with soloists such as Nicholas Isherwood, Claude Delangle, Jean Geoffroy, Anne Delafosse-Quentin, Christian Schmitt, Henri-Michel Garzia and Pascal Contet.
His work with French-born American visual artist Arman in the 2000s initiated a series of creative collaborations with Miguel Chevalier, Jean-Pierre Balpe, Elias Crespin, Sarkis, Pier Luigi Copat and others.
He has written more then ten film scores in collaboration with directors such as Henry Colomer, Olivier Mille and Alain Fleischer.
