Conception Jacopo Baboni Schilingi Music by Jacopo Baboni Schilingi Design - Camille Fournet, Paris Executive producer - Ensemble de Musique Interactive At the beginning there is the artistic meeting between Françoise Déchery and Jacopo Baboni Schilingi, a composer whose aesthetic foundations are based on interactivity to make the human presence an actor of creation and artistic experience. To propose a creative experiment and share an emotion of an artistic nature with her customers in the shop, Françoise Déchery proposed to Jacopo Baboni Schilingi a collaboration with the house Camille Fournet. The idea is to design a visual, tactile and sound device offering a unique sensory experience. The appearance of the object recalls the presentation of the various leather straps (the colorama) which Camille Fournet has the specialty. But beyond the aesthetic aspect that invites contemplation, visitors are invited to touch the straps. The visitor discovers that his gestures, depending on whether they touch or strike the leather, produce different sounds and that what he hears constitutes a music of which he is the composer ... The Pianorama is therefore a unique musical instrument. It combines craftsmanship and technology: the straps are handmade in the Camille Fournet workshops and contain sensors connected to a computer. It's a new generator which produce gigantic fractal flowers of different sizes, colors and shapes. The originality and the might of this creation concentrate on this generator fromwhich we can create a selection of the most beautiful flowers. Through atypic shapes, amazing colors, others artificial paradises are created. Besides, this work leans on a generative and interactive principle, creating autonomous virtual seeds, growing, opening out, fading and reacting to the audience. It reveals stylized flowers, through an extreme geometry in its shapes. We are in front of an intriguing vegetal universe, full of crystal-flowerswith a wire frame, reminding of the facets of a diamond, which have on the one hand a real monumentality with its geometrical shapes, and on the other hand an evanescent aspect, when after some seconds, the flowers evaporate in the air like a cloud becoming blurred progressively. The giantism of this flowers which cast a glance at the visitors, look at them according to their moving, create an enigmatic dialogue with the visitors. Flowers stoop like a bow in order to welcome the public in this mysterious virtual garden, then display their most beautiful colors and shapes, look at them, merge on colored backgrounds, lean out as to observe close to our reality, to disappear finally out of sight, out of our fascintaed look, touched by the living relation with a disappeared virtual object. http://www.miguel-chevalier.com/en

8 Ties Hermès 2012/2013 - Europe, Asia, USA Generative and interactive virtual-reality installation Conception and images by Miguel Chevalier Music by Jacopo Baboni Schilingi Sizes: Variable size Technical production: Voxels Productions This project was commissioned by Hermes, and it has been shown in Paris, London, Milan, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Nanjing, Tokyo, Osaka, Berlin, Dubai, Seattle, Miami, Busan, [Mexico]. It is inspired by Pixel Waves by Miguel Chevalier and specially adapted for Hermes Ties. Miguel Chevalier has integrated the Hermès ties patterns into his virtual universe in order to unveil, in an original way, the collection of ‘Heavy Twill’ silk ties. Thanks to a subtle mix of technology, ingenuity and poetry, a wall projection, the eight tie designs (USB, Key Board, Binary, ON/OFF...) in the collection appear in rotation via a wall projection that react to the presence and the movements of visitors. Thus, the real and the virtual come together, distorting scale, so that the most intricate patterns can be studied in their finest details and dynamics. A touch screen is available to visitors, inviting them to select the tie design with which to play.
