Body Scores is a new project by composer Jacopo Baboni Schilingi, presented in France, China and Japan, and this month in the United States: on 3 December at New York’s The Spectrum and on 9 December at Harvard University.
Baboni Schilingi explains: “For years I have no longer written on manuscript paper, let alone a computer. I write on male and female models’ bodies. Writing by hand on skin demands greater concentration because correction is impossible. I decided to turn the score-writing phase into a performance. I believe in calligraphy’s authenticity, and Body Scores is how I affirm it!”
Body Scores is also a photographic book published by French publisher INNO-Design. Information: innodesign.fr.
