"Who's Laura Palmer" explicitly refers to David Lynch's Twin Peaks series. This series is the pretextual framework for the creation of the concert on March 9 with Diego and Timothé Tosi. It is a "mainstream" television series that, despite this, has developed strong, non-commercial language.
My composition therefore seeks a stylistic superposition. Not necessarily hybridization. And no longer a mixture. But rather cohabitation.
The composition is divided into 5 sections: each offers sound universes that evoke the David Lynch series, at the same time with sounds specific to my previous creations.
The instrumental playing for the violin and the cello draw from a very large reservoir of gestures: the most classic (in the literary sense of the term) to the most contemporary. The peculiarity of this composition lies in the fact that it is composed by me, but under the guide and instructions of the two musicians. This is a new stage in my life as an artist. I want to get out of the solipsism that too often I have lived in previous creations. And "Who’s Laura Palmer" is part of this desire to broaden the conception, production and production phase of the work to teams of artists.
